THE INFORMAL INTRODUCTION
Hi! I’m Melanie. I’m a California native, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. When I’m not running Monte Carlo analyses and retirement scenarios, I take full advantage of the area in which I live; I can often be found on the weekends tramping the trails of the East Bay Regional and Santa Clara County Parks with my black Lab. I’m a big Bay Area sports fan (particularly of the San Francisco Giants) and a dog lover. As you can probably tell, I may seem a little young to be thinking about retirement, but don’t let these looks fool you. My reasons will probably make a little more sense in a bit.
Growing up, I was surrounded by a large extended family. My parents were each 1 of many sibling (my mom was the oldest of 6, my dad one of the middle children of 8). Most of them stayed in the area, so I was surrounded by aunts, uncles and tons of cousins throughout my life (still am to this day). Needless to say I grew up with a very important sense of family, which in part means helping out when called on and taking care of each other.
That sense of responsibility to others plays a major role in why I’m so passionate about retirement planning. Very quickly into the start of my career, I recognized the uphill battle any retiree would be facing as more and more of the retirement income burden was being shifted to their shoulders. If I want retirement security for me and my family, I need to make sure I am at the forefront of how to make that happen. That drive has also translated to the satisfaction of helping many of our clients safely transition from working into a continuing successful retirement.
So in a nutshell, motivated by a determination to help those out that have given so much to me, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming the expert in providing financial planning for retirement security. If you want to connect and learn how I can help provide more certainty in your retirement years, please feel free to contact me to start the discussion.
